RoHS Compliant Hardware Platforms

The Firebox® X Core™ e-Series and Firebox® X Peak™ e-Series products comply with the European Union directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) policy, which will go into effect on 1 July 2006 in the EU market.

The RoHS directive bans the sale of electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed upon levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
